Stopped in a Goodwill looking for watches. No watches, but picked up this cool coffee cup. It has a view from outerspace.

So, a brief homage to what has to be my favorite watch of 2018, i.e. what I’ve worn the most and am probably attached to the most.

I finally got around to opening it, to take better shots of the Lemania (Schwarz Etienne prepared) movement.

For reference, a Speedymoon movement:

(For those with sharp eyes, the Lemania is actually 18 jewels, unlike the Omega. As well, the Lemania does not have the plastic brake.)

It’s marked Adjusted 5 Pos. and I can attest to its accuracy as worn. Over most weeks, it gains around 15 seconds or less.

It’s in a completely Omega service set up. Service luminova dial (but early - see the number of hash marks in between the second markers to compare with later ones) and luminova hands (the chrono seconds hand should be flat bottomed, but I like the old fashioned style), in a service Omega Speedymoon case.

Apart from having it serviced, I put it on a proper 1450 bracelet and replaced the later bezel with a period correct one.

eBay, from France, for $2,800, as I recall.

So, a brief homage...
That’s “brief”?

I don’t think so.

You need a few more years of academy training regarding “brief”.

😉 😁 😉 😁 😉

Edited, but mostly by removing photos. I confess you were right.

Everyone knows that homages are a lot too long, by nature. So, a brief homage is still a little too long. 😁
