Nice watch, but also can we see the E36?

It is the wife's car, and from 1999. It has 110k miles and probably worth as much as a generic Speedmaster Pro. This pic is from a year or two back, it has a few more scratches and broken items (ie window won't go up/down, speaker blown, etc).

This is the watch I was wearing forty nine years ago today!

Still wearing today, the watch predates the wedding by a couple of years.

You must buy the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 Speedmaster to celebrate your upcoming 50th anniversary !

BTW, was that car a DS21?

I’ve already mentioned it to my local AD so we’ll see!
Almost right with the car, we had two black DS23’s, I’ve always wanted one but good ones are out of reach now!

Earlier this week I found the Seiko at the back of the drawer in my bed side table - it was my 18th birthday present from my mother. (I turn 50 next year))

Took the back off and found, coincidentally, that it used the same battery as I'd ordered the week before in order to get some old Swatch Irony Chronos running again.

I've been wearing it all week and feeling very nostalgic.

I also put my trusty Speedy back on her steel bracelet after a few years of leather and NATO straps - waves of nostalgia again.

I guess this is just a sign of getting old...

Apologies for lowering the tone...

No apologies necessary. I am 56 and nostalgia is good. I have been thinking about a Timex diver my Grandmother gave me nearly 48 years ago and wondering where it is.....maybe in the house I grew up in? Nice post!

Am I allowed to post a photo on OF that has an Omega next to a Rolex? Probably not, right?

Beautiful bride, beautiful Citroen and what is the watch 😉
We actually had similar hairstyles back then 👍
