Where is the date Jeff? Edit: Stupid me. First digit of the serial is year and second digit is month. Mine is therefore one month older than yours.
Still enjoying my new (to me), 65 year old (approx.) Laco with a German made Durowe caliber 422, manual wind movement. Solved a problem with periodic stopping which I discovered was the result of worn bearings on the center wheel arbor. Now, all good. I love the dial.
Jealous! I haven't seen grass and flowers in almost a month, lol. Buried in snow here in the U.P Michigan area.
Gorgeous execution of this 2018 Hamilton IntraMatic 40mm And I had to get my neighbor’s tree in the picture! Leaves will be on the ground pretty soon.
Buren were partners with Heuer and Breitling in the development of the Chrono-Matics and made the base automatic movement. By 1969 after they were taken over by Hamilton they were making all the Hamiltons too. Buren signed chrono-matics are very scarce, I think this is only the second photo I have seen of one. Jeff Stein did a good write-up of how these relationships worked http://www.onthedash.com/docs/Project99.html I am wearing the Buren's sister today, although the photo was taken in summer.
A watch collector’s dilemma. I cannot decide which one I want to wear today. So, I’ve switched back and forth twice already today. Which is why I keep most of my watches put away. Side note: it’s very hard to capture the beauty of the Seamaster dial, particularly when it catches the light.
