Maybe somebody’s grail watch, but not mine. Late 1960s Tissot PR516 that I have fallen heir to. Came without a bracelet. After a quick scrub to remove paint splatters, ultrasonic wash and brush scrub, new armoured acrylic crystal, and a generic crown, it looks better. Solution to generic crown is imminent. Notch the ends of an 18 mm strap (would have preferred black, but didn’t have one in 18mm width), two stainless steel pressure pins, and voila! I do like the slate colour of the dial.

After a full week of wear, I'm acclimated to the smaller size of the OP36 quite well.

Now to see what happens when I switch back to the FOIS! 😜

No evening change today but as is my want on a Sunday evening I was winding the old JLC travel clock and here we have it, spot on after seven days, not bad for a piece seventy odd years young. Well almost 👍

Camden harbor view of Mt. Battie:

My family had a cabin on Penobscot Bay for 40 years and I know that area very well. It's a special place.
