·A proper OF story... middle aged fellow who used to prefer modern watches, sees an old watch he didn't even know existed before listed FS on OF by @JimJupiter . After contemplating for some time, he cannot help himself and ends up buying it. Having seen many lovely custom straps made by @Fost , he then reaches out to have one made special. Having read multiple accounts of whether to service or not, and knowing full well that whether a service is needed or not always "depends...", he takes it to one of the best and gets a proper service by @Archer , just in case. 😉 The story doesn't end there of course, because wearing it happily is simply not enough... but he ends up posting about it in as many threads as possible, because the joy of a beauty like this just must be shared! (right?)
