I took this along to the Mini-Meet last night as a bit of contrast to some of the much bigger, and much more expensive bits of kit in the watch roll... and realised that I kinda love it, so have been wearing it around town today. Service history unknown, but from the untouched screw heads on the movement, and lack of service marks, I don't think anyones been in there... as a result, the time keeping is... interesting.
A hot and humid morning gave way to sunshine earlier. Then the storm squalls rolled in and the lightning is crazy. Hitting very close now, less than a mile from my house. How does one brighten up such a fiercely unsettled day? By putting a splash of color on one’s wrist!
There’s a long backstory about this Abercrombie & Fitch Seafarer and I’ll try and write it all up in a thread in the next week or two. In the meantime I have to say a big thankyou to a group of fellow forum members who provided invaluable advice, and guided me through a (hopefully) sympathetic restoration. So @Northernman @Modest_Proposal @Syrte @georgetownhoya and @vintagechrono - Thanks
Rose gold Universal today. Classic bling, when the sun hits it in the car, it lights up the headlining like a glitter ball
So decided to look into the ones I don't wear box , and dress watches seem so out of fashion these days . But I quickly realised why I bought these watches ,but can't decide which one to wear now .
