So, the journey round the contents of my watchbox comes to an end. It’s been sort of liberating to pick a watch and wear it for a week, and it’s a system I’ll probably be sticking with in future. For those that are interested, the watches that have been featured are pictured below. As the more astute may have noticed, there is one empty cushion. For the next week, the watch that started me off on this interest will be worn. For those that may not have read the story, it’s here. In one of those strange examples of synchronicity, it goes on my wrist for a week on the anniversary of my father’s passing. My inherited Rolex 1003.
Getting back in the swing of posting-so here is my Camaro 9220T (Valjoux 92.) I bought this from the original owner who received it as a Christmas present from his wife in 1968. (lucky man!) She bought it from Stäuble jewellers in Zermatt, Switzerland which still exists today. Great to have the full history of the watch! Steve
Decided not to subject the beater to chainsaw experience in 30° heat so spent the first part of the day with a naked wrist. I have a sneaking preference for cold steel around my wrist rather than leather so it'll have to be my old friend Mr sparkly dial Eterna.
Switching to a mid-2000's (but still Tritium) implementation of the L5100. Next to the Omega, propped up on 2 quarters to bring the dials to the same height. Add the wacky different Sinn EZM1...(1 quarter ) Friday fun! My next goal is to add a black dialed Lorenz Sub variant to this club. YaY!
