Today's watch? American Waltham, 1893, Seaside movement, 14k huntercase...... how the hell do these things survive this long in this condition??? I'm thinking of having it sent to the Ukraine for an update! Something to remember, when this was made the Americans were on top of the watch trade. The requirement for a "Swiss made" marking was forced by the US because the Swiss were making knock offs of the better American products trying to get into the market. They used to do their best to hide the Swiss logo in the engraving on the balance bridge....... and now its a badge of honour!
I only wanted to make a nice picture.... The moment, I took this Connie on my wrist,it fell down to the floor. Result: some light scratches on the glass . What a mess.....
