Greetings watch fans, a Seiko Landmaster mk1 . ' A watch worth trusting your life to', said Seiko's Mr Ikuo Tokunaga, quoted from Seiko's 'A Journey in Time'
About to go and pick up some family from the airport, thought I better switch to a flieger, you know, just in case
Actually, what my wife is wearing today.....circa 1952 Lord Elgin "Saber"....21 jewels, 14KGF....sold for $71.50 back in 1952, which is about $680 in 2018 inflation adjusted dollars. The smaller case size men's watches in my collection have made nice watches for my wife. She chose the Saber for a business meeting she was going to this morning....another vintage watch collector in the making.
I tend to select dressier watches on Monday's. Choosing from one of these ... The arrow head Connie, I think. Yup, feels right!
