This again while I have my coffee... It is my little girls 7 th birthday tomorrow. Where does time go. Quite alarming really. I was wearing this when she was born and I can remember what I was doing this day 7 years ago as if it were yesterday. I hope to give this to her one day. Should hopefully still be a practical watch to wear in 20 or so years time... Have a good day all.
So, after a pleasant week with my Magrette Dual Time, another dip into the dustier recesses of the watchbox came up with this to wear for the next 7 days. No haute horology here! for those interested, I believe this is a pretty comprehensive description. "This watch is manufactured by MARATHON WATCH COMPANY. The wristwatch is manufactured in accordance with MIL-PRF-46374G, Type II, Class 4 and this watch has a 17-jewel mechanical movement. The stem-winding mechanism has a minimum 36-hour running time and is accurate to a minimum of 30 seconds a day. Stem for winding and setting time is located at the 3 o'clock position; movement stops when the stem is pulled out. This watch features a high impact fibreshell with a waterproof and dust-proof case. Black military face features both 12 and 24 hour timing with white numerals and a sweep second hand. Luminous hands and hour markings are powered by tritium tubes. This Swiss made watch comes with black nylon mil-spec strap with buckle closure that adjusts to most wrist sizes. The strap is manufactured in accordance with MIL-S-46383B, Type II. "
Swinging the lead a bit of late so perhaps today is the day for some chores, Bund beater just in case it happens
Received this beautifull C -shape back from the Omega watch specialist. Needed repair and service. Looks great again!
