Flight as a present for Father’s Day
Got to fly it mid air, which was supercool!

Huge Patina on a thick golden Eberhard.
Really attractive - and the strap choice so nicely riffs off the dial’s patina.

Looks like I’m going to be a dad for Father’s Day this year...

Timing contractions...
Baby should be here by lunch!

Jet lagged cuppa good joe in the garden after a long week of meetings and dinners. Glad to be home. Haven’t been pedal to the metal this year on the international business travel. I realize after this trip how much I am so over it.

Off to a gathering of railroad buffs and railroad watch and clock collectors today. This is one of the two railroad watches I will wear. It is one of my Accutron 214 railroaders. This one is 52 years old, and is virtually unworn.

The other one I will wear is my 102 year old, 21-jewel, 1908 model Waltham Crescent Street. This one was put into service in 1917 in the pocket of an apprentice fireman with Canadian Pacific Railroad. He wore this watch for 45 years, retiring as a locomotive engineer. One of the gathering today, is the 92-year old son of the railroad watch inspector that serviced this watch 33 times over its years of service. The 34th time it was serviced, it was serviced by me.

Both are lovely!

Fabulous history and provenance with the Crescent Street pocketwatch.
Enjoy your railhound gathering.
