Sandoz Typhoon today with FHF 90-5 inside. Early 1000m diver from the classic dive-watch era. Personally, I really enjoy the style of these, with the angular case, integrated crown-guard and the mega-dome crystal even more than the contemporary DOXA Sub 300, although obviously the Doxa is better known and more collectible. They also come with a black dial, and light and dark gray colors.

It's a BLRO day. Sun is shining, a cool breeze is blowing through the trees, and I'm sucking down my 3rd Starbucks iced coffee. College Rugby National Championships on DVR, and all is right in the world. :)

Off to the mountains again, for 4 days. I don’t have a watch that I consider a beater. That is, I don’t have a watch that I purposely set out to destroy. But this survivor from 1957 will suffice for this trip. Good runner, performs well after full service and a new rotor post. The dial has seen better days, but it will serve the purpose.
