Having assembled them for the photo, I figured the shots might amuse some, reflecting a two year period of transition at Omega.

Shame on me, they’re in this order to contrast their differing dial and bezel colors, not chronological. Mug shots!

145.022-68. 145.012-68. 145.022-69 pre moon

serial no. 26556247. 26554736. 28428149

The -69 has the wrong bezel; by serial number, it needs a DON. But this DNN is turning blue, as the dial is getting a touch brown. Hard to want to change that.

And yes, only a little more than 1500 serial numbers separate the -68 321 and the -68 861.

We won’t even speak of the insanity that must underlie such a photo. 🤪

This one truly is "Superior". New arrival, in such good condition I'm almost afraid to wear it.

These were top of the line for Seiko back in their day, the twin quartz Seiko Superior with an original rated accuracy of +-5 seconds per year. I've owned the gold capped variant of this movement, but this one with the integrated bracelet really is a sight to behold. I'm still looking for the 3rd variant, but this one will easily hold me over until then.

The finishing is, in my opinion, on par with modern day quartz GS.

Might be a “choke” problem.

Day's starting a bit early this evening. Does that sometimes, but not always. Curious.

Post the photo and realize that I set it to the wrong day this morning. One does occasionally in retirement.

Switched to Speedy in anticipation of tomorrow. The wife doesn’t understand it, but I love her anyway.
