Speedy Saturday w/ @ChuckMK23 test driving a new “stripper farm truck” Ford F-150 XL at a local Ford dealer...“crank down” windows and a whole boat load of other “manual” stuff...very cool.
In a week, this watch has only gained 5 seconds. It’s got a Lemania movement inside, marked ‘adjusted to five positions’. Got it back from the spa a week ago. More accurate than any Speedmaster I own.
And cloth seats? I’d love a truck with old style manual windows. And NO computer in it. How about a front bench seat? Lord, I miss those days.
I started today with my Rolex GMT Master II BLRO but switched back to the Speedmaster, now on a nylon Zulu Diver strap. Totally different watch vs the croc strap or metal bracelet.
Found it on eBay. $2,975. Here’s its ‘origin’ thread: https://omegaforums.net/threads/lemania-omega-speedymoon-trials-and-tribulations.73485/
You can get cloth but no bench...they all have some sort of computer [or computers]. No manual transmission option...that sort of bummed me out. Can get a 5.0L Ti-VCT V8...which is cool.
Hey Mad Dog I like "less is more" trucks. V8, automatic and air is all I want. Been driving this one since it was new, a '92 purchased in November of 1991. . 500,000 + miles later it's still doing what I bought it to do.
