I've been trying a friend's Sub. It reminds me why I'm not a fan though, for some reason I find them a bit too tinny and insubstantial, with those blingy white gold plot surrounds. Yes, I know, probably the single most iconic diver's watch. I had a red Sub for a while but just wasn't interested and wore my 6309-7040 more. Give me a PloProf, Big Blue or 1000M any day of the week!

I remember seeing a NOS insert for one of these a few years back for about £70 and thinking it probably wasn't worth buying as I didn't have a watch to put it on. Same with a DON Speedy insert for the same money. Sigh...
