I'm wearing my 1943/44 Omega 2292 RAF with original alloy case which I really enjoy wearing. It is certainly much better than the plated mid case. It certainly does take on the appearance of a silver finish. Cheers Russell.
I was out at our old family place on the lake, doing chores and hiking. Thought to do a "Speedy Tuesday Texas Wildlife Series" but saw nothing but vultures (we call 'em buzzards) and Red Ants. Turkey Vulture (bottom) and Black Vulture (top). Speedmasters are tough enough to handle being staked out in a Red Ant bed. Old timers say that mesquite won't leaf out until there is no chance of frost. Well, the mesquite has been leafed out for a couple weeks now.
A few weeks ago I noticed a guy at work with some sort of a vintage looking watch. Had a chat, turned out it was his dad's 60s Enicar. He said if you like this, wait till I bring in my grandpa's watch. Here it is, on my wrist. Inscription on the back says 1952
