1960's Rotary with a nice sunburst dial for a day of chores.
I've got a thing for vintage Rotary's I just don't know why 😵‍💫
I bought this over a year ago. It came with new service paperwork. The service cost more than I paid for the watch.

Peak of the full blue moon was just two hours ago, the last blue moon until 2020.

This one is the ‘Paschal Moon’ as well, the first full moon of spring.

I showed this one, here, a week or so ago. It occurred to me at the time that in its 50 plus year existence, it had never been serviced. So I shelved it until Good Friday, and decided its time had come. Movement is a caliber 1020 which (it seems) is not every Omega collectors grail. Considered to be quite slim for an auto wind, day-date, for the era. It’s a nice movement to work on. So for the time being, it will be my daily driver. Perhaps later, I should buff the crystal a bit.

About to get some ramen with the kids, it’ll be mayhem so I’m wearing my beater, a vintage-inspired Stowa.

I’ve only had this back from Rolex Canada for 4 days. What a treat to wear this watch again. I’m thrilled! 😀
