Doing the old switcheroo from the Elgin Veritas and B.W. Raymond railroads to the Seiko SRP777K1 for hill intervals on my trusty 1989 Schwinn Waterford Paramount. The SRP777K1 will be protected by the Raine Inc. protective band [pictured below] just in case things get dicey... “You must take good care of your toys, Sid Phillips...we toys...we see E V E R Y T H I N G!”
RIP Sir Roger Bannister. One of my true heroes both for what he accomplished on the track as well as what he accomplished with the rest of his life in medicine. A life well lived. Neal Bascomb’s book, The Perfect Mile, is an excellent account of the race to break the 4 minute mile barrier.
