    Waffles served!
The postman arrived with this Lemania cal 3610 yesterday. I only have had time to give it a new strap and a quick external clean-up so far.
    wruw05112013.jpg
It is actually an automatic sub-seconds version from the same base design as our beloved Omega 320/321 and the 381.
I never understood why these 3 hand Lemanias are not getting some serious attention from collectors? They are built (beautifully) on the same basis, and made by the same people who designed and produced more or less every single Omega movement with complications all the way up into the 1970's. Every single Omega chronograph, moon-phase and alarm movement was made by Lemania from the 1930s and up to the introduction of ETA movements in "modern times"!
The same production facilities in L'Orient is now making Breguet after Mr. Hayek senior took over and decided that the name Lemania would die.
At least the lack of attention makes it possible to pick up great quality at almost no money at all....

Not currently wearing it, but Robert-Jan let me sneak a try of his Ref 15202 Royal Oak Jumbo in Amsterdam, its a remarkably balanced and understated piece that instantly feels special when you put it on, Genta surely had a very special gift.

First wristshot on the new server!

    Hi all,

Something wrong here, don't you think ? ::facepalm2::

... hopefully I was fortunate enough to source and buy the exact same mvmt, serial number + 100, as a donor ;)

Something simple and elegant today, I think. Cal 28-10, perhaps from the 50's.

I was wearing my Junkers Cockpit 52 as I was working in the garage and enjoying my day off.

However, that all changed with the arrival of the postie :)

    P1020185.JPG

So for the rest of today, and quite likely tomorrow, it'll be this.

(chucked it on the timer, quick results face up, -2 Sec/Day, beat error < 2ms, amplitude > 270)

Wearing an inexpensive zenith to day on an early train 'oop north. Anyone have an opinion on wether it's a darker gold or if it's just tarnished and if I should try a light polish?
