How to survive a Canadian Prairie winter. Mrs C. Has her orchids, and I have my watches. My 28 year old Date-Just replacing my 28 year old Speedmaster Apollo XI which I wore for several weeks. Still wearing my early ‘50s caliber 351 Omega bumper automatic. This one is a “survivor”, having arisen like a phoenix after its first owner did his damndest to destroy it! Remarkable what a stubborn watchmaker (me) can do to resurrect a basket case when the spirit moves him!

Believe me, after 24 years we miss those prairie silver-blue skies. I’m no fan of the grey. It’s just home now. Always wear the wheat on my sleeve. And a Flames t-shirt!
