Looks lovely with a suit... Dial does interesting things in the light... timekeeping appears to be shocking. Have given it a full wind and will watch over the next couple of days to see if it settles down...
After a week on the road I am back in the office on a friday. A mid 50s classic for today. Alpina Standard cal 592R.
My watchmaker took this movement shot during service. Alpinas back from the days are IMO grossly undervalued quality! It runs +3sec/day after the service....
Nice one Alex! What is the model number? I like the dial and contrast colours
Thanks NT! I think it's a 166.038 with a quickset Cal 565 (I haven't been able to open it yet) It's so much nicer In the flesh, the silver markers really gleam over the grey dial, and catch the light wonderfully, and the red hand seconds hand is nice too. I see we both have a love of grey dials, undervalued in my opinion! 馃憤
Nice dial macro shoot. I love the floating omega logo in crystal, raised inked and grainy surface. Superb.
Smartphone, Pocket camera or DSLR?
Thanks! It's an old Canon G10, but it's got really nice macro capability. Still, makes less difference on grey days like today! 馃檮 I wonder if my iPhone 4S can pick up these details..馃槣
