Åland is great & beutiful ! We used to sail there every summer when I was young. Then we stayed for a week or two at my Grandfathers island in northern Åland, close to Simskäla/Väderskär. He used to sail all summer when younger and managed to buy a Fishermans Island (fiskehemman) before the restrictions on ownership (beginning of fifties) when he wanted to settle down for the summers. Great place, so in touch and living off nature (as much as possible) the whole summer.
