This blacky is awesome!
Thanks @nicolsson! I really like the gilt lettering on the black Connies. This one has the original windshield with date cyclop and the Omega logo in the center. And I believe the BOR bracelet is also original to the watch from the condition I received it.
But honestly, there are far better examples of black-dial Connies owned by the forumers here, just dig around and you will find see...

Excellent. I like the fact that you attached a little story to this connie...nice framing and good info.

For me, a watch doesn't have to be Mint+ condition for me to view it as a perfect example. You
know how it is - sometimes these silly little baubles just speak to you and say all the right things...

Seamaster 300 Professional titanium chronograph. This is super light on a NATO. I just about forgot it was on my wrist today.

Appreciate your encouraging comments, @citizenrich 馃榾

Sure, most collectors (including myself) will prefer to have a "NOS" or mint condition vintage, but that may will prove to be a long wait (and a lot more expensive than we hoped!). So we just go for the "good enough" and those that speak to us, as you said. To be honest, I had many reservations on this black Connie due to the seller's bad photos, to the extent that I had to seek expert advice before I pulled the trigger. You know well there are many redialed black Connies around. As it is all turned out well with this one. It's by no means "perfect" but I have been enjoying wearing it...馃槈

What an unusual watch with an unusual dial, @citizenrich! Anti-magnetic, shock resistant and with "unbreakable main spring" - what more can one ask for? And that lume!!馃槑

Is it a vintage, which year? Wear it in good health!馃憤

Nice one, @aap! The dial looks great. I didn't know Angelus has a Memovox-like alarm watch. Does it work the same way, with a hammer moving back and forth against a gong or chamber? Do you have photos of the base back?

Yes, and on top of every 195x wristwatch buzzword and new technology, this Technos has a high grade, fully adjusted movement. The case is hand finished to a beautiful, deep lustre. At first I thought there was some sort of protective coating applied to the case and bezel but the watchmaker who bought it for me explained the process....

This one is full of surprises.

Oh wow, what a story on this Technos! Hand-finished case plus a fully adjusted movement - in the 1950s?!! Incredible... Please do share more photos of the caseback etc if you don't mind...
