As I have mentioned before, I live in the northeastern part of the U.S., in Maine. November 1st is on the late side for a Mustang ride, but since it is my birthday also, I try and get one in on this day each year. I have only missed 2 years since I bought the car in 2003. Today, my Seamaster from the late 50's takes the wheel and ride with my daughter and I. The car is a 1965, 289 A code motor, Rangoon red with a white drop top....so the watch is period correct. Everyone else shows their driving pics, so I had to also. Hope everyone had as good of a day as I have.

OK, I will...how many pocket watches do you currently have and how many do you figure you've bought and sold over the years?

Also: what's the best "value" for these watches? Is it true that sometimes you can buy beautiful examples in SG for not much of a premium to the actual melt value of the gold? Basically: a free watch?

Can you share some photos of your favorites??

Thank you

I have close to 50. I’d have to count. Too many favourites to list, but my Brandt (Omega) grade CCR, 19 jewel railroad watches (I have two of them), are pretty close to being a favouritse. They were accepted as a railroad standard watch in Canada. These are a reasonably scarce watch, owing to the fact that American made railroad watches made up the majority of watches used on Canadian railroads.

As a fellow car guy I'm feeling the need for more pictures of your Mustang!😎

I knew someone was going to ask. I think I only have one on my phone and here is a pic of a pic that is here in my den. It is dark here now, but is there a "car" thread like there is a firearms thread? If so, I could add pics there tomorrow. And yes, the firearms thread comes to mind as I have collected firearms for many, many years. Hope these will do for tonight.

Commute home. Loving this piece now that my watchmaker modified the baton minute hand to a look like a leaf hand. ( I had bought a very expensive replacement to no avail).

Wow, what a looker!🥰 Thanks for posting the pictures and yes there is a car thread...it's called "Automotive Pornography" under "Watch Photography and General Photography."
