Just stealing a few minutes with her on a rainy Fall afternoon before I have to leave for work tonight. Mck
My one and only Speedy. I am only the second owner. Given a proper hard life since the first owner bought her new in October 1965. Total impulse buy for me and until then I had never seen one of these never mind knowing anything about don bezels, short pushers, 321 and so on. None of which is relevant to my ownership in any case. She will be going to STS again soon for another service. All I need to do is find someone who can put together the bracelet for me....
One of the UK's most neglected vintage "treasures" of bygone times, it's not a watch normally encountered "deep in the heart of Texas."
This Oris doesn't get as much wrist time as it deserves, but is the first watch I coveted and succumbed to. I cannot now remember if it was the Royal Opera House ceiling that subconsciously acted as a trigger, or if I only subsequently realised that both had a lovely guilloche design!
