Attended a high-power rifle match today. It was an "M1 Garand retro match," using the American rifle from the World War II and Korean eras.
This is probably the most legitimate use I can make of the Speedmaster, timing how long it takes for me to complete the shooting stage. Helps to pace the shooter who might otherwise shoot the allotted rounds too quickly, rushing his shots which impacts his score. Despite keeping an eye on the time, I ripped through the slow-fire prone stage with a minute to spare. I paced myself better on the standing slow-fire stage.
