Yet another wedding, this time in Marblehead (land of my father). Bit rainy this morning so forwent vintage for the beachside ceremony. Then switched it over to my usual wedding watch for the reception.
Rolex 6429, from late 1960's to early 1970's: just made for a few years at request of US military who wanted less expensive field watch. Commando dial was made for only one year. Vintage models rarely pop up. Companies like bamford and heritage time are making new versions from current model explorers, with recut case, new dial and hands, other changes.
I've quoted him before, but feel the need to repeat myself (in quoting Roy Batty): "Gosh, you've really got some nice toys here."
Fashion faux-pas: tuxedo and a chronostop. Don't care though. Wedding on Lake George in the Adirondack Mountains.
This one will become a pretty butterfly one day (not the watch, although that would be very interesting) http://www.raisingbutterflies.org/eastern-black-swallowtail/. I cull the ones that turn into moths, but try and let the future butterflies go. Hard to do when eating your seasoning though . My least favorite are the tomato hornworms. Our koi love them when I toss them into the pond.
Well, thank you so much argonbeam. I was curious to know what the caterpillar would become. Sure hope he made it. Mrs. noelekal let the chickens out and I went back later and he was gone. I really don't think the hens went over there to that side of the house. They were too busy picking bugs where I had mown the grass.
