Proof there's a fine line between ironic and iconic.
What I mean is that I receive so many compliments on this watch. Seriously, it gets a shit ton of attention. All good. If you want ppl to notice the watch you're wearing, get one of these, STAT
Conversely, Speedmaster enthusiasts don't really seem to like it at all.

Mine says hi. You must travel with a different group than I do. As much as I love this 1989 Speedmaster reduced, it never gets noticed! This one was produced only for a limited time, but I have no idea how many were made.

My Hamilton grade 941 says hi. This is the hunter cased version of your grade 940. Easy to love. This one is not in my pocket today. In fact in the 20 years I've owned it, I think I have only worn it on one occasion. Okay, call me a hoarder!

I work @ a rock club on the lower east side of Manhattan and my watch adorned wrist(s) are seen by a lot of the public (+/- 18,500 customers p/mo - )
If any watch manufacturers want me to be a wrist tester / ambassador for your products shoot me a PM, STAT

Hamilton grade 950 (upper left), and grade 950 B (lower right). The 950 with its gold jewel settings, gold train wheels, and gold balance wheel screws, along with added decoration to the plates and winding wheels makes a much more pleasing aspect in my mind. Can you imagine what the price of a modern day watch with all the visual eye candy would be!
