Resurrected from my stash of scrap watches/donors/future projects. This one caught my eye. Found with a gawdawful green strap on it, and now having been the beneficiary of a thorough service, it is something a bit different. Close to 50 years old, and represents a typical styling trend for that time. This one has a 21-jewel ETA automatic wind movement, dial is private label for the Canadian Birks Jewellers. Bracelet temporary until I find a suitable leather strap for it. Just what I needed! Yet another watch!

Yeah... I love shoes. Almost as much as watches. These are from Floris, the son of a classic Dutch shoemaker family 'Van Bommel'

For today, double-dog Elgin railroads with winding indicators...on the left, 23j Veritas 376 [circa 1915] and on the right, 23j B.W. Raymond 494 [circa 1933]...
