Earlier today on the dog walk. The rose gold look of the AT's hands is the reflection of my own florid countenance. This weather.

Switched to this gold retro Hammy for my classes this afternoon. Needed to match my gold specs. Fashion.

A beautiful sunny morning in Rome! Looking forward to seeing the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica today.

Yesterday was spent at the historic Colliseum, Roman Forum and the Pantheon.

Thanks, we are enjoying it very much.

We decided to limit ourselves to Sorrento, Amalfi, Capri, Pompei/Vesuvio and Rome. I'm not used to the consecutive days with heat above 85deg F and 0 chance of rain, but the sites help me forget about the heat for short intervals! 😉

Today we decided to tackle St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums.

We climbed to the top, and while not a major accomplishment in and of itself, doing it in the heat after a week of walking/climbing and doing it with a multitude of others made it feel like a job well done.

Heading into the Vatican Museums. Pictures cannot come close to illustrating the overwhelming opulence of this place.

I obeyed the posted signs and did not snap any pictures in the Sistine Chapel. It was amazing to see in person the works so often seen in print before.

After the visits today, my wife and daughter spent a little more time with their new favorite Italian word, "SALDI", and so a few more EUR's left the money clip.

The only shop of any interest to me happened to be closed until Sept 1... 🙁

Amazing amazing! Rome never disapoints. Last time I saw the Vatican, it was prior to restorations. Man, I would love to see it again.

Great pics!
