·As I mentioned in an earlier post, this one has been langouring in the vault, date set at 6:00, for several months. Today is a good day to pull it out, set it, and wear it again for a while. Early 1950s, caliber 355 bumper automatic, date at 6:00. This one sat in pieces in a tin box of parts watches for well over 40 years, waiting to be discovered. Why I waited so long to service it and re-assemble it, I do not know. Dial is original and untouched. Omega crystal and service crown. Excellent performer and a joy to wear.

·My Heuer chrono week ended early when this beauty arrived today. Absolutely stunned by the condition of this chrono. A sure sign of the quality was that my wife actually asked "is that a new watch" at dinner. I can wear 5 different watches a week without her saying anything. Do you like it I asked, " the nicest one you ever had" was her reply 😀
