Just curious, for the date wheel background, is it supposed to be white, silver or gold? Thanks

I think either white or silver, not 100% certain

Crisp lug bevels, linen dial, and a gold caseback medallion! 🥰

Thanks! I believe it was NOS... before I put it on today.😀 Couldn't bear to bend the original strap, so I gently took it off and popped this lizard on. Cool original box too... will give it its own post soon.

Thanks Alex, blessed with glorious weather. Heading out on the bike for a run through the vineyards and orchards and still acres of sunflowers in bloom 😀
So does the kid run along side, or do you have one of those kiddy carriers?

Great score! Real chronometer esoterica in great shape!👍

linen dial

I believe that's a "frost" dial

He's a real softie, he has both although the carriage is the mode of choice.
Thought when the kids got older and started using there own energy on the hills life would get a bit easier - now I'm hauling a dog 😀

I told Alfred to keep the pesky tourists off the grounds of our vacation castle and apparently he's sleeping on the job. 😒

Hi Stuart,
very nice holiday shots. Take care of the mademoiselles and your watches, if you go with your bike😉

New addition, a ref. 6424 Oyster from my birth year (1.1 mil SN). This is the larger size, akin to a 1016 Explorer. It came with a stretch riveted bracelet (6636), but it needs to be repaired. The bracelet is worth as much, if not more, than the watch!
