I have a real soft spot for the old Datejust 1600 and 16000 series especially. This one (1978 - 16014 / cal 3035) will be on my wrist today. Tough to catch how different the linen dial can look under different lights and angles. Can vary from almost no texture to a lot.

One of my first watches and one that gets a lot of positive, spontaneous comments from random people who see me wearing it.

I wear it a lot and never have shown it here because I think the dial isn't authentic. My watchmaker, however, believes it to be an Omega dial. "It was made in the Quartz Crisis; they did all kind of crap."
