Checking one of our projects. Here the crew are tensioning some tendons on a major bridge project of ours. There are 24strands and each is stressed to 30,000 pounds: You can see a ship that passed through while we were at it. Looking North from pier near the middle of the river: Looking South: Last but not least, the reason we're here:
So let me ask your experienced opinion regarding something, sir (others are welcome to chime in as well if reading this post): Would it be frowned upon (or incorrect) for me to put a vintage JB Champion (or Forstner Komfit) bracelet that the NASA Astronauts wore on my modern Moonwatch? From what I've read and seen, the vintage bracelets seem to be matched with vintage Moonwatches. I know that I can do whatever I want (not that I've ever done more dramatic off-the-wall stuff)...but I was curious to know if a vintage bracelet on a modern Moonwatch would be considered a mis-match by vintage Moonwatch specialists.
My Seiko SKX007J1 had wrist time today on an olive Nato, since I was neglecting this one for about two months now.
As said a few times before, I am not much of a Rolex fanboi... but this... whoa I assume it's waaaaay over my budget by the way
"I'm sorry, but Jason isn't here at the moment... once caffeine and fibromyalgia drugs have kicked in, normal service will be resumed. For now, please enjoy this sunny pic of a seamaster."
It's all personal - you want a JB, you get a JB. For me, I have been known to go to ridiculously uneconomical lengths to put a correct bracelet on a watch. Case in point: This watch has a market value (I'm guessing, because I've not looked) of around £2000 ... yet I spent £250 on each of those damaged links just to keep the original titanium bracelet. Another watch I won't be selling.
