From what I understand....... There once was the Illinois Watch Company. They made pocket watches starting in the late 19th century. They then started making movements for others to put in their wristwatch cases in the early 20th century. At some point Hamilton bought them.

This is actually a swiss movement that has nothing to do with the company outside of Hamilton retaining the name.

Illinois Watch Company was founded in 1870. Hamilton bought them in the late 20's (1928-ish) and for a few years produced co-branded watches.

Correct - it is a Swiss caliber. Neither Hamilton or Illinois ever made automatics in the US.

    Uber Cool

Admit I probably know the words for about ninety percent of all Beatle tracks, now if I could clear all that from the hard drive think of the space I would have for the important things in life - cal numbers, references etc. etc. :)

I had a French friend who learnt English purely by listening to Beatles records.. He managed to avoid the Liverpudlian Twang! Incidentally was just listening to a Day in the Life...Amazing song!
