I made it to DC on Saturday for a visit with my son and we did get to the OB at Tyson's Corner. Unfortunately his girl friend had to work. The visit did not afford the opportunity to get any good shots without forcing them and I didn't want to. So these will have to do.

The first is my watch roll for travel.

This is the mound of goodies I brought along for two weeks on the road. Hiding underneath that pile is a love letter from Maryland's finest. Coming off 295 on the way back to my hotel, I made a right turn on red (ignoring the posted sign). The State Trooper, recognizing a hayseed from the back woods of Maine cut me major slack. Thank you sir. When I said I didn't see the sign, I was telling the truth. Kidding aside, he was very professional and courteous, like I have grown accustomed to seeing in the ranks of State Police everywhere.

The Omega sleeve contains a bunch of screws for the Speedmaster bracelet. When I was sizing it for my son, lecturing him in that way only an uppity father can about the importance of not losing the tiny screws, I lost one. The good news is they are easy to get. I also picked up some replacement spring bars, just in case.

The requisite close up of my favorite, attempting without luck to cover up the love letter.

A swap to cloth to prepare for tomorrow's blizzard of the century.

There's nothing to not love about this watch. Vintage vibe, clean and sleek. COSC isn't the word. Over past 5 days the worst it's done on any data point is +1.9 and runs + .5 or less most of the time.

No Speedy this Tuesday. Sticking to the Space theme with a Pogue. Albeit a Half-Pogue or a Pogue Lite.
