Always forget how nice this one feels on the wrist, and quite useful too when I need a simple chrono.

MadDogging it tonight. Feel like I'm doing this wrong...

You are doing it wrong. The two watches are supposed to be synchronized. 📖

It's remarkable what this new $10 mesh has done for this long under-appreciated 'watch-box-hermit'!

This strap didn't work with its intended recipient, my other French watch, but it's definitely proven to be a keeper.

Now, the real reason for going into my local OB in Hamburg will soon become clear, but first some explanations.

When I arrived in the store I happened to mention that I had tried pretty much every strap and bracelet on my GM, from shark mesh to NATO, in black (see the post from yesterday), in response to which the nice store assistant pulled out something very interesting from her drawers (no don't get ahead of yourselves!), namely an Olympic 8 lane blue and white NATO which I thought looked so cool I insisted that they fit it to my GM to see what the combo would look like.

While they were fiddling around with that job I ended up trying on this:-

The red arrow is pointing to the price tag that was hanging off it which stated 3.500,-€ WTF! I know the AC is not much loved but really? Should I pay now?
Nope, it was a mistake....pfew lucky escape.

My GM came back like this:-

OK, sold. I'll take it. But now to the real reason for the visit. A heavy Metal upgrade.

Which was definitely the right choice

and the end result still looks funky

Whenever my car is icy it seems like a super cool background for watch pics. #SeikoFivesSaveLives

Just picked this one up from the postal office. Flew in from Singapore. I am very impressed. Major big BANG for buck!

New strap arrival. Ostrich leg!

Thin, no padding, which I needed for this 9.8mm thick 5441 Portuguese, and with a pleasing 22 to 16mm taper.

Very soft, easy to strap on, right of the baggie. Doesn’t feel like it needs to be broken in at all.

Best of all, unbelievably low price. Thanks @Andy K for recommending KelaranUSA (soulsis78556h on eBay).

Now there's a watch that deserves a clear caseback. 👍

Have not worn this one in awhile. Had to take the bracelet in one notch. It's progress on getting healthy!
