There have been slim pickings in vintage Zenith land recently - other than eBay auctions with the famous "wankers reserves", so the Count of New York graciously allowed me to buy his spare A277:

Suveran for me today...

That is, until this arrives later today!

Celebratory wristshot when it arrives! 😉

That's quite an unusual dial, it's not got sides like my pie pan, but it looks similar..

Here's mine without the smooth edges:

New arrival. Unfortunately I don't have a proper bracelet resizing tool, so will have to wait for a visit to the watchmaker on Wednesday. Fortunately there are lug holes, so switching to a 20mm strap is a breeze.

First impressions: I like it...solid, nice finish and build quality, great domed mineral glass crystal (not terribly reflective), nice wrist presence without being outlandish on my 6.75" wrist (it's 38mm across ex-crown), retro-inspired design. Interesting feature for this movement is that it whirs similarly to a Rolex bubbleback when rocked back and forth. I'm not sure if that was intentional on Orient's part!

Another of my "Swiss Budget" catches.

(I'd better stop doing this or I'll have no loot for any dibs that come up🙁)
