992 (c. 1930) today...my first railroad grade pocket watch...acquired from within our family in the 1990s...

A sparkly chronometer to liven up an exceedingly dreary grey day. Haven't had this one opened yet, but counting on everything being alright inside. It sure goes very, very well! One of my newest and biggest vintage watches at a whopping 38mm 😉

Do you like the Italian day disc? Well, if you have an English or Danish and not using it, I'll be happy to do a swap 😁

Few flurries this morning in NYC so I put on my Alpina 4

Tossed it on a NATO, it has no military provenance but the strap it came on went right in the bin, as found but the crystal could do with some Poly!

Asked watchmaker to peek inside when picking up a SM30 yesterday, he approved the calibre 592 for occasional use, its been running since he wound it but I'll let it wind down now
