This one again. A survivor, sort of. Early 1950s bumper automatic that was a total basket case when I acquired it. Replaced case, replaced the ruined dial with a better one, hand-made case clamp, new mainspring, thorough service, and much ingenuity to identify and solve numerous problems, and it is an excellent performer. Bracelet only temporary, so I can wear it.
Local dealer sent me this when my buddy got his new car! Little pink teddy bears get me everytime....
Ugh, how did the illustrator(s) miss the obvious chance to use the second hand in position for the light saber?!?
Don't do it! Speedmasters are sold to fund other Speedmasters. I foolishly considered selling my 14900 to fund a Speedy. Came to the same conclusion as you!
Wearing my "lucky" Speedmaster today. After almost 10 months unemployed and zero prospects I finally got offered, and gladly accepted, a new job today. All happened unbelievably quickly; 11.30pm Tuesday application/resume submitted (after the heat of the day) 11.41am Wednesday received call to arrange interview 9.00am to 9.50am Thursday attended interview (delayed by myself from possible Weds afternoon interview as needed to 'scrub up' ) 10.21am confirmed reference had been checked with previous boss 10.43am received offer of employment Start 8.30am tomorrow Seems to be a great company too, making a genuinely helpful product. So certainly not taken the job through desperation. Have Speedy. Achieve anything Couldn't possibly have been my charm, wit, skills and dazzling blue eyes Might be due some polywatch looking at that photo. But why change a winning formula.
I love the Portuguese and this model particularly. Just a beautiful, classy piece. You have great taste. You should feel lucky!
