Aaarrgghh Monday again... I'm continuing the 70's vibe with this combo from 1971... Keeps the Monday morning blues away
That is my favorite Mont Blanc chrono almost pulled the trigger a couple of time... Mont Blanc is starting turn out some nice pieces
It has been unusually/obnoxiously cold and snowy here in the Pacific NW the past couple of weeks. Figured I might as well make the most of it!
That's beautiful ... maybe start a snowball fight !! .... ... with a guy with a 'vintage' Speedy! HaHa!!
Pogue, still need to find one with a resist dial. Column wheel movement and applied log. If that was a Speedy the price would make your eyes water.
Back from repair.... one of the lugs had fallen off and needed welding. Before and after pics, with a thinner strap to accommodate the smaller lug space. The icing on the cake was the beautiful vintage buckle my watchmaker dug out from a treasure pile.
Sort of... now the crystal just fell off on my way to work. The watch is pretty enough (and good enough quality) to be worth the various repairs but this is clearly a good lesson on purchasing "cheap" vintage watches when they are not branded.
