Took one of the critters out today for a 13km (8mi) ramble in the Santa Monica Mountains near our home. This was the first outing for this watch/strap combo -- the strap is a 20mm olive green NATO from Archer Straps. The Marathon GSAR is powered by an ETA 2824-A2 that's not certified but keeping chronometre-like time at +1.5sec/day (it's in the rotation of dive watches to get dunked in the ocean but there are still a few more in line ahead of it).

A view toward Santa Monica Bay and Catalina Island (I was diving at Catalina just a few days ago). Some interesting symbolism here since it's the shimmering Pacific in the background.
