   Gearing up for a little expedition, so for the first time in more than five years I purchased a brand new watch, heeding the collective advice of legions of WIS. I had to swap out the weirdly corrugated and frankly unwearable rubber strap for an old Tropic type, but I get it now... Seikos are ridiculously good value.
