So much choice! I could show many watches out of my collection in this forum. Most of which have not graced these pages. But I always find myself drawn to a few favourites. So forgive me if I show this one, yet again. It has been a while since I showed it last. Over 40 years sitting in pieces, in a box with a bunch of other Omega bumper automatic "parts" watches. The long-forgotten and underappreciated Reverso GranSport...the rubber strap is well done, but I like it a lot better on a leather strap. Even with its imperfect fit with the unusual lugs
Lol...One explanation that sounded very plausible: it's usually female spring bars on watches with somewhat flimsily constructed gold cases, to prevent steel spring bars from causing extensive damage to the gold over time. In an extremely minuscule sample (my collection), that theory has held true. I cannot, however, believe that to be true with a UG gold case.
