Beautiful dial color with lovely contrasting lume, but the strap IMHO doesn't match as it's a different blue, I think it clashes with it. IMHO you'd either need something subdued that works with teal blue such as dark slate gray; or you need to go to a high end shop to find a teal blue that matches the dial exactly; or you need something that pops and plays off the existing colors such as orange would (but it may be too over the top); or finally you need a metallic bracelet (best choice perhaps). Brown and black are completely out. Cheers, S
A strap experiment coming to fruition.... Totally incorrect historically -- German flieger inspired strap on a US WWII military watch should be a complete no-no, but I like the way it looks.
'Twas a crack in the flue in the chimney. Just above the fireplace it allowed hot gases from the fireplace to leak directly into the wall, setting fire to the studding. So there I am,happily reading in my living room while the attic burns directly over my head! I noticed a bit of smoke on the ceiling! Checked the fireplace and found nothing coming in and thought "hello.... This can't be good" or words to that effect, and ran outside to find the house engulfed in smoke and a fire truck cruising down the street because someone has complained about smoke in the area. My evening went down hill from there. However the insurance company was great and I got a total Reno out of it. Perhaps not the best way to go about it, but some people will do anything to avoid picking up a paint brush
Looks great! Historical accuracy is important in museums but in the toys we choose to enjoy it need not get a look in, if it pleases go with it! Hell, I heard Ulackfocus is fitting a "Hello Kitty" band to a Speedmaster as we speak! Exciting stuff!!!
Eterna Blue dial black strap this color combination works really well to make the blue dial pop. Watches with a blue dial the color of the dial can change dramatically depending on the lighting conditions A black strap works for me.. The first picture original strap which IMHO looks not that good. After several strap changes various colors and even a couple bracelets I went with the black strap
I am presently re-reading Don Sauer's book Time for America (ISBN # 0-915010-36-4), And I discovered on page 26 that, on the back of Hamilton's 1978 fall catalog was the statement, "Official Watch of Delta Airlines." That would not have appeared there without the sanction of Delta Airlines. High praise, I'd say!
