My parents-in-law live in New Orleans and we learned there how water damage can impact an area for years to come. Here's hoping the wind and water do as little damage as possible.

Today I'm celebrating the return of one of my ten top watches from the watchmaker.
This is an Angélus Chronodato, the first chronograph with a full calendar.
My watchmaker really enjoyed working on this rather unconventionally designed movement, Angélus cal. SF 217. You need a pivot for this chronograph lever? Take the axle of the mainspring barrel!

·Watchmaker Johannes Jahnke originally from Dresden, Germany began to create bespoke modifications of proprietary movements - the 'JJ Calibres’. The Christopher Ward C9 Single Pusher Chronograph, powered by Calibre JJ02, was recognised by the industry in the 00/24 Watchworld awards in 2014. This is the MK1 limited edition and is my 'business' timepiece. Arguably a 'Marmite' watch and does attract conversation. It remains a firm favourite of mine and will never be flipped.
