Back to the city and reception. Nice to have Road trip to tranquillity. Even if there was an ridiculous about carting stuff to van from van. Etc etc. However did have breakfast here. Bliss.

Sylvie your command of military esoterica never ceases to amaze. It's the earlier, short lug version; caseback, as you well know inany of these swapped during service and this one no exception. Still a keeper (dibs duly noted though).

Welcoming a new member to the herd....145.022-71. I'm convinced it's a one owner, came with a non-dated 1039/516. Checked against MWO, all things period correct; 3.2m, Delrin brake, etc., and.....caseback without marks. Never worked on?!?! What to do with it now?

The pocket watch is a permanent feature on the desk these days, and the sound of its ticking is quite loud in a good way. The VC housed the fist bumper automatic made by JLC and finished to VC standard in the 50s 😉

I was going to send it straight to the WM but now I'm not positive. I think I'll double wrist this week and see if I bond with it, just to make sure it belongs.

Weird how you think you'll instantly love a new purchase......I miss my Mkll. 😬
