I recently purchased this Zenith new Vintage 1965, and I'm wearing it this September 11th, remembering those who died 15 years ago today.

I have somehow managed to get a hideous scratch 😲 on the bezel of my otherwise pristine 16710.

Do you think I should have it replaced, or will that reduce the value too much? 😕

Where? Can't see a scratch anywhere, even looking on the photo, so it can't be that bad...

I enjoy the "Made in England" mid-20th century whimsical styling features found in the Smiths line. Quite a few of the styles are fun, even if the dials' manufacturing processes don't appear to age well.

"Now for something completely different..."

It's terrible...ruined I tell you.🙁

Had to put it away until I can source more bubble wrap.

Will wear this beat-up Movado instead.
One more scratch on it won't matter. 😀

I still can barely see anything --even with all your arrows, and even as we all know photos overemphasize the slightest flaws.
Seems to me you're way over reacting…. 🙄 and should keep your original insert and not worry about it.
As others have said in other threads about other watches -- a watch is meant to be worn. Get more scratches on it and then you won't care any more.

You're so callous. 🙁

I did enjoy drawing the arrows though, so there's that.

Will take it sailing....

Man! After looking at @dougiedude's post for today I'm almost (and almost means not really but some) embarrassed to post my humble alarm watch, a J.P. Pingouin assembled Heyworth badged piece from around 1970:

Heyworth's one I've not heard of.

Only one I've ever seen. J.P. Pingouin must have been a shop that assembled watches spec'ed by various brands. I found a reference on Fratello to a Breitling with a Valjoux 72 with Pingouin's brand inside.
