That's why I bought it - white gold (and you know us collectors with white gold watches from the 60's and 70's) AND the consensus best ultra-thin full rotor automatic. Add the font of AutomatiC, which I can't resist, and it's easy to see why I diverted JLC funds to purchase it.

This one is unbelievably crisp in the flesh. The pics just don't do it justice.. and the size is excellent. Great contemporary wrist presence.

It definitely has some wrist presence, but it is small. I measure it at 34.6 mm in diameter, 42.3 mm lug-to-lug, 10.9 mm thick. Believe it or not, this seems to have been one of the reasons the guys in the US Navy Experimental Diving Unit liked it when they tested it back in '58... visible, waterproof and out of the way. Lack of rotatable bezel was the big knock. Full post to follow when my research is complete. 馃榾

They might be for sissies, but a rotatable bezel would add a few mm to your diameter! 馃お

Not really for sissies. Those navy divers wanted rotatable bezels, and I'm pretty sure they were he-men, but they mentioned the smaller size of the Enicar as an advantage (as he-men, they didn't need to compensate with gigantic watches馃槈). Truth is, though, that an external bezel and a few more mm would probably bump the current market value up by a factor of about 10. This is really a diver for the Connie crowd. 馃榾

I've been wearing this about 3/4 of the time since I bought it from Eric Ku a few weeks ago...sorry it's dominated my WRUW posts! It's an almost NOS late gilt 1675 (from 1966).
