That looks like a ref. 960 or 975, possibly chrome case with stainless back (975-C?), with the optional dial seen in fig. F at the right-hand side of this brochure:

Thanks for sharing those interesting publications!
It seems indeed to be the optional dial you are mentioning. Nice combination
Would you know the improvement between 960 and 975?
In the ads, all seem to have "cathedral" hands... I thought more classical hands were also available.
At the end I am not sure if they were service hands or really available as an option?

Late night before I got home from work. No pictures taken today but I did use a watch... When into serious negotiations I try to intimidate the other part with having black OPS possibilities.

I've seen enough of them with military "eyedropper" and "pencil" type hands to be confident that they're original. I think the cathedral hands are phased out in the mid 1940's.

Here's one:

An early 1960s (?) Benrus.

A weird dusty patchy patina. Maybe in a few years it will get attractive...

Back on the bracelet, which is now wearing very comfortably after picking up the adjustable clasp from my local Omega Boutique.

This, which feels so light and thin compared to my Megaquartz.

Toyed around with a new Nato on the Seamaster C-case tonight... Pretty happy with the result!
